Volunteer

A great way to get involved with the Home is by donating your time and talent. Volunteer with a local nonprofit that helps children and families in our community.

  • Individual Volunteers: Find a project that matches your passion and schedule.
  • Group Volunteers: This is ideal for corporate teams, community groups, or friends seeking a meaningful day of service.
  • Junior Volunteers: Those ages 13-17 can participate in age-appropriate activities.

Ways to Help

There are many ways to volunteer with the Home.

  • Join us for a single-day event by serving food, helping with games, or hosting a craft activity.
  • Support our work behind the scenes by organizing donations, cleaning, gardening, or decorating for holidays.
  • Build relationships by working directly with the children and families we serve. (Additional requirements and background checks may be needed.)

    Home of the Innocents
    Volunteers will help assemble welcome baskets and make snack bags.

  • Car Wash
    Saturday, July 25, 2026
    1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Register Here)
    3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Register Here)
    Salsarita’s (Middletown)
    Volunteers will be asked to wash cars to fundraise on behalf of the Home. Two shift options are available.

  • Holiday Event
    Saturday, December 5, 2026
    9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (Register Here)
    Home of the Innocents
    Volunteers will help spread holiday cheer and decorate for the season.
