Identity

Mission

Home of the Innocents enriches the lives of children and families with hope, health, and happiness.

Vision

Home of the Innocents strengthens Kentucky by building partnerships, challenging systems, and reimagining the way we care for families.

Our commitment to learning drives our belief in family-focused care. We are a values-focused employer of choice for a mission-driven workforce.

Values

  • Compassion: Providing grace, empathy, and understanding to all people regardless of our differences
  • Wellness: Achieving a mental and physical health balance that optimizes the potential of all
  • Empowerment: Leading by example, with respect, to help each other find our strength, build confidence, and embrace growth
  • Excellence: Striving to be the best through commitments to high-quality service provision, accountability, and personal growth

A Trauma-Informed Organization

The Home is committed to being a trauma-responsive organization that builds resiliency in its team members and service recipients. To achieve a culture of healing, we must acknowledge the universal nature of trauma. We use an innovative, evidence-based approach that addresses the health and well-being of our services recipients as well as the team members who provide those services.

Policy Agenda

We believe in building a strong community where everyone has the support they need to gain stability and fulfillment. Because our mission focuses on the care and support of children and families, we collaborate with local, state, and federal policymakers to strengthen our systems and cultivate a community that provides for the well-being of its members.
