State Recognition for the Home’s On-Site Schools!
Rennay Marshall, Vice President of Public Relations
We are so excited to share the Home’s recent recognition from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). Home of the Innocents School has earned a Bronze recognition status for the 2022-23 school year for the outstanding efforts to improve climate and culture through the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS)!
This year, 168 schools in the state applied to be recognized and we are so honored to be among the award winners. Thank you to our team members, JCPS teacher and faculty, and our students for their hard work in creating a wonderful learning environment.
“We are lucky to have such strong educational leaders, teachers, and school team members working collaboratively with us to improve the lives of the children entrusted to our care. Our school team understands and recognizes how trauma has impacted each child and incorporates this into development of individualized educational and behavioral approaches. They instill hope in our children and work incredibly hard to make sure our children see their value, worth, and potential. This recognition is well deserved!” – Dr. Melissa Hayden, Senior Vice President, Behavioral Health at Home of the Innocents
