September Volunteer of the Month: Sterling Thompson Insurance Company

Volunteer of the Month is awarded to someone who goes above and beyond in their role at the Home, exemplifying the values of Home of the Innocents in all the work they do and time they give to the children and families we serve.

Sterling Thompson Insurance Company was presented with the Volunteer of the Month Award for September. They reached out to the Home in June 2018 inquiring as to how a team of their staff could serve. Their first effort consisted of a group of 10 helping with patio cleaning, window washing, and organizing donations. Since then, staff members have been volunteering every month to assist in stocking shelves of donated items in our warehouse. Sterling Thompson prides itself on having a values-based culture. The company motto- “we are a family company and truly believe in serving not only our customers, but our community.”

Having groups assist in a behind the scenes capacity, is a tremendous help to our staff. We are fortunate to have such an incredibly talented and giving group of volunteers and look forward to a continued relationship with Sterling Thompson Insurance Company!
