Krystal Rice, APRN, is a Nurse Practitioner at our Open Arms Children’s Health clinic. Krystal joined the Open Arms team because she wanted to work in a position that allowed her to give back to the community.

To Krystal, the most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know her patients. “There is a unique and diverse patient population here. I love to interact with people of various cultures and watch them grow over time,” she shares.

Krystal graduated from Northern Kentucky University and is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She worked at Norton Children’s Hospital for seven years and specialized in Pulmonary as the Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Practitioner. She loves children and has always worked in pediatrics.

Outside of work, Krystal enjoys family time, church, photography, arts and crafts, movies, cooking, watching University of Louisville sports, and teaching a youth dance/step group.
