July President’s Award: Dr. Lisa Powell

Each month, President and CEO Paul Robinson awards a team member who exemplifies our core values of excellence, compassion, wellness, and empowerment. By living our values, they achieve the Home’s mission to enrich the lives of children and families with hope, health, and happiness.

The July President’s Award was presented to Dr. Lisa Powell, Ph.D., Director of Integrated Care at Open Arms Children’s Health. For three years, she has been working with our primary care providers to support the behavioral health and developmental needs of children who are patients of Open Arms.

Dr. Powell was nominated for her demonstrated compassion to the children she serves. Through her work in adding behavioral health screenings and Healthy Steps, she strongly supports our wellness core value. She helped secure a new program with Dare to Care to support the food and clothing pantry in the Primary Care clinic. In June, she was honored with the Bridge to Light award for her work in integrated behavioral and physical healthcare.

Dr. Powell said the most rewarding part of her job is the relationships she builds with the children and families that come to her office, and her ability to provide comprehensive care for their needs.

“I awarded Dr. Lisa Powell the July President’s Award based on her multi-year impact to the wellness of the children we serve and her clearly demonstrated excellence receiving the Bridge to Light award,” shared Paul.
